or "beware of the dog!" Title from a rather famous mosaic from Pompeii if I remember correctly. I tried to do something more exciting, but I'm afraid this is not where my talents lie...

I’m quite interested in the folklore of demon dogs and dog-guardians. There seems to be a version of that in most cultures. I tried to make the dog a blend of mastiff and wolfhound but in the end he looks nothing like either.

The monsters always do rather badly in mythology don't they? Always getting killed or dragged out of their home so that the hero can show his worth. I’ve never liked that much. Then again it's not obvious who the monster is here!
