Wow, this is my first watercolour picture since December! 
I'm sorry to have disappeared like this but between writing-up my thesis (first draft done - yay!) and Thessa's leg problems I really couldn't get myself to paint. This picture is an illustration of a Luxembourg tale of the devilish nail-smith's apprentice for Syltorian. I'm really sorry it took so long friend! So here is the nail-smith's apprentice, a devil in disguise, making golden nails which will tempt the real nail-smith to a life of dishonesty...
Gosh, but the lighting effects were a challenge for me....lot of fun though!

Brilliant work. I still to this day love your artwork very much. The colours still get me and so many of your paintings just have perfect composition. The fact that they're traditional makes it even more impressive. I myself can really only do sketches traditionally. Which, seeing as I only ever do concept art for my books anymore (that I never post anywhere) that's really all I need to do.
