HAHAHA, Sebastian is defying stereotypes already! I love it! Especially after all of Conain's bloviating about vampires being vile creatures. And wow, after all of Guillaume's peevishness before, and his understandable anger at not being given the information he should have had up front, I am so surprised to see him laughing and joking in this moment.
I also love the subtle dig at Conain that Guillaume makes with one of his jokes--pointing out that apparently, Sebastian's reaction, regardless of what he became, was true to his personality. As in, look, Conain, clearly his soul and identity are intact, despite all of your grim expectations. (And the way Conain is sitting with his sword, it's pretty obvious he wanted to chop Sebastian's head off as he woke up.)
